Course Description

This advanced ECG (12-lead) course has been updated to reflect new science and education from in the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) Guidelines. Upon completion participant will have the knowledge, skills and ability to interpret the 12 Lead ECG in detail in regards to the recognition of STEMI as related to specific heart anatomy along with the underlying etiology.

Course objectives
At the end of the course, the students will be able to:

  • 12-Lead Monitoring
  • Normal 12-Lead ECG
  • 12-Lead ECG and Bundle Branch Blocks (BBB)
  • Determination of Axis
  • Axis and Hemiblocks
  • 12-Lead Strategies for Wide-Complex Tachycardias
  • ST Segment and T Wave Changes
  • 12-Lead ECG to Assess Infarcts
  • Recognizing ECG Signs of Ischemia and Infarction
  • Identifying Areas of Ischemia and Infarction
